Park with Gma

Tuesday we took Grandma to the park for a picnic

I found Samuel and Anna eating their snack together and I thought
they looked so cute. I love when they get along with no one asking.

U. Josh and A. Sarah bought these dresses for the girls
in Mexico and the weather is nice enough they can wear them now.

A Time For Everything

Ecclesiastes 3

There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under the heaven.

A time to be born and a time to die.

A time to plant and a time to harvest.

A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to rebuild.

A time to cry and a time to laugh.

A time to grieve and a time to dance.

A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.

A time to embrace and a time to throw away.

A time to search and a time to lose.

A time to keep and a time to throw away.

A time to tear and a time to mend.

A time to be quiet and a time to speak up.

A time to love and a time to hate.

A time for war and a time for peace.

This is one of the many chapters and verses that comes to my mind a lot throughout life. Right now I am experiencing a time of death, having three deaths in the past three months. In December my dad lost a very close friend, Wally Shieb, to cancer. I remember him and my dad together being "brothers" and laughing, arguing, and talking about life almost every day since I was eight or so. What a great man! Then soon after in February my wonderful A. Charlyn lost her mother to cancer and tumors. I remember Trinie Bowling as the most loving and sweet woman that would bend over backwards to serve a stranger. What a joy she was to be around! And just a week ago today my Pop died suddenly on a cruise with Nanny of heart problems. I have so many fond memories of my Pop with Nanny and their marriage of 57 years. This was a marriage that spoke volumes to me and set an example of love and respect you don't see much any more. What a fun man he was! I am so saddened by all of these deaths and the only thing I can find rest in is God and prayer. Having the hope and joy that this life is nothing compared to the eternity we will spend together in heaven.

Grandma's Valentine

Grandma just recently got a new juice machine and her

favorite juice is a beet juice mix and I love how it turns her

whole mouth red.

Samuel made Grandma a card and ask if she could be his

valentine and of course she happily accepted. He drew her

some pictures and for the first time used sisors to cut a

triangle. The message was his AWANAS verse

...I have loved you with an everlasting love.

This was one our weekly trips to visit Grandma and

she had just gotten home from a blood transfusion. She is

a very strong woman and doing pretty well considering!

Happy Valentines

These photos were taken on Friday at Mr. Biggs close to

our house and, I thought they were pretty cute!

So my gift to the family was heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes

with all the goodies on top. (They were a big hit!)

So you can't see the heart here but this is a close up.

We then gave Jake his card the kids and I made along with

his very much needed new shoes. He felt very loved!

Then tonight the kids gave me there card with all the

beautiful art on it.

And to follow tradition I came home to wonderful dinner

from the Bonefish Grill. I truly think I have the BEST

husband God has made! What a great love day this was!!!

Girls Dedication

Sunday February 1, 2009 we gave our girls

to God. What an honer and joy it was to

do this with some family and lots of fellow believers.

It was a long time coming and I'm glad and proud

to proclaim before witnesses we will do our best

to raise all of our children to know truth, and love God.
